Magnesium

How many of you know the importance of magnesium? I know I really didn’t know how important it is for our bone health until reading about it. Let me start by saying that we all know how important calcium is for our bones, but our bones are made up of many more components than calcium. A very important one is MAGNESIUM and often people have a deficiency of it. In order for calcium to reach the bones in the first place, vitamin D is indispensable. Calcium should always be taken with vitamin D and magnesium for healthier bones. According to recent findings, magnesium is also credited to help with bone building.

Being Vitamin D and magnesium deficient can only worsen osteoporosis. Magnesium is not only good for you bones, is is also good for the function of your muscles. All muscles need magnesium so they can relax after physical stress. Magnesium deficiency quickly manifests itself in nightly calf cramps and arrhythmia-because the heart is as well “only” a muscle. This is why it is so important for all of you to make sure you are getting the proper amount of, Magnesium, Vitamin D and Calcium.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog about magnesium and how important it is for your bones.

Until next time, have a wonderful day!
