Proteins For Your Bones

Proteins are your body’s “building block.” Protein and calcium are two majors components of bone tissue. These two components complement one another. So how can we consume more proteins? We need to try and implement them in our diet, eggs, chicken, turkey are just a few things. I eat a boiled egg everyday for breakfast, and I do eat chicken and turkey. Salmon also is also a god food to eat. I had read a few years ago that a high protein diets wasn’t good for your bones, that is so far from the truth!

Did you know that protein makes up one-third of your bone mass and half of your bone volume, this is so interesting. That is why you need a daily supply of proteins to maintain your bone density. I know sometimes it is difficult for us to be able to eat right everyday, we can try harder as we learn the importance of healthy eating. Everything links itself together when you eat right, take the right supplements, and excersise. We all want to have better bone health and this is why we should not ignore when you have been told you have osteoporosis or osteopenia.

Take charge of your bones and help them getting healthier, I cannot emphasize this enough. Don’t think because you are young or even older it doesn’t matter, it does.
